“Kore”

Inspired by the ancient Greek image of Kore — the maiden who returns from the underworld every spring — this sculpture becomes a metaphor for awakening, inner transformation, and the quiet strength of becoming.

The fragmented female body is neither complete nor broken. It exists in a state of transition, as if it is still connected to the earth from which it emerges. The raw ceramic edges preserve the memory of primordial clay, while flowing bronze and emerald glazes evoke living minerals, fertile landscapes, and the hidden energy of nature.

The sculpture embodies the eternal cycle of birth, growth, and renewal. It speaks of birth not only as a physical event, but also as a continuous process of personal becoming.
